Inside My Studio
A new textile project often begins with a sketch like the one shown to the left. I quickly jot down the basic forms and colors which will make up the final work's design.

Next, I translate these colors into fabric swatches. At this stage, I begin considering texture and pattern as well as color and shape.
Then it's time to get to work with scissors and thread! I like to work with remnants of materials because they carry stories. I am
often inspired by the transformation which takes place with the cloth, used and new.
